Hello, World.

if(window.console && console.log) {
    console.log('Hello, world.');

I know what you’re thinking: “This idiot left the default WordPress post active and didn’t even change the title.”

But, I assure you this was intentional.

The name is there to pay homage to the humble Hello World programs that we’ve all probably written at some point when learning a new language.

It celebrates the very beginning of your knowledge of that language’s syntax and environment, and so it also celebrates the very beginning of my first real foray into the long-form world. I’ve toyed with the idea of a blog off and on for some time now and have dabbled with some other topics in the past, but this one will focus on something that is a part of my daily life in a very big way and something that I want to share with the world: code.

If you’re seeing this post, you’ve undoubtedly stumbled here by accident or are fortunate enough to have been sent a link to check out my new blog, with it’s one introductory post and barely any content—aren’t you lucky?

Stick with me, I’ll post up some actual code and explanations in the very near future.
